No, I think you are missing MY point. Education is NOT something left to the free market. It's FAR too important and necessary for a Democratic society. You think you will have anywhere the level of quality of education in a small town with a microscopic population that you will in a growing community? You think you won't have THE EXACT SAME problems with growing costs that you have with higher education now? You think the stock market would look kindly on these institutions?

Translation: You don’t trust the American people to be able to use their money as effectively as the government can. We need the government to think and make decisions for us. Capitalism is not to be trusted. We should have the government be our nanny and take care of us.
