lcheeseboy replied to your post: People like you are the reason why Christians have a bad name. Tell me where in the the new testament it says homosexuality is a sin. Show me where it says that two people of the same sex who are naturally gay and want to be in loving commented relationships is a sin. In the Bible the only time it mentions a man getting with another man is when it involves rape and a man trying to embarrass another man or people having sex with male and female just to have sex for pleasure.
Not seeing that ordination (in a search of the New International Translation for ‘marriage’). Seeing a lot of references to heterosexual marriage, but no specific definition of “marriages can be this and only this.”
The man said, ”This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman’ for she was taken out of man.”
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
Genesis 2:23-24. This is God defining marriage. By defining marriage, he excludes anything that doesn’t fit it.
Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.
Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion.
They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
