Love is a human experience and shouldn't be defined by you, any other person, religious book, or politician. What on earth gives you the right to say homosexuals should oppress their feelings and learn to have a relationship with someone of the opposite gender? Could you suppress your impulses to the point you could happily have a real, loving, sexual relationship with someone of the same gender? It's the same idea.

1. That would be your opinion.
2. Love does not equal sex.
3. Suppress. Not oppress.
4. I gave two options, if you would pay attention. They can either overcome their homosexual attractions, or they can avoid acting on them. People are expected to control their sexual behavior all the time. This is no different.
5. If having homosexual relationships were the way we were meant to function, yes. I would adapt to that. Or I would simply avoid sexual action altogether (fun fact: I’m doing that now anyway. It’s not a stigmatic or torturous thing to do).
