But why are you against same sex marriage? Marriage is not linked with Christianity. Many, many cultures had a form of marriage before Christianity. Many cultures have different definitions of marriage. In some cultures, there were same sex marriages. So why is the western, Christian form of marriage the only one that should be legal? May as well just get it over and done with and force everyone to become Christian :\

That last sentence was quite a leap in logic, so I’ll ignore it.
Marriage isn’t just a Christian concept. It’s also a Jewish concept and (even before Mosaic Law) a concept that comes from God at the beginning of the earth. There’s no coming before that.
Besides, I don’t think the government should be involved in marriage at all. Separation of church and state, and all. Meaning this in my words and this in the words of another I agree with on this issue.
