Let’s replace “the same gender” and “homosexual” and see if this reasoning makes sense.
“So let me get this straight.. According to your opinions, love between a father and son is ok, but sex between a father and son isn’t? So everyone who is sexually attracted to their blood relation should just stifle all the sexual urges they have? That… makes no sense.”

Does it not make sense? You are completely capable of and expected to restrain your sexual urges in some cases. I believe homosexuality is one such case. I also believe unmarried heterosexuality is one such case.
